Yorke Consulting in partnership with our Brisbane north-based client is seeking an experienced Office Manager to join their well-established construction company. This is a fantastic full-time position with the opportunity to grow within the company.

About the role

Reporting to the Business Owner, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day business activities and you will play a pivotal part in the smooth running of the office.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Being the director of first impressions – attending to telephone calls and greeting visitors in a professional manner
  • Managing trade accounts & updating the Trade Register
  • Managing subcontractor insurances and completing relevant QBCC licence checks
  • Developing and managing Site Asset Registers
  • Developing and implementing procedures & processes
  • Creating and updating forms & managing templates
  • Providing HR support as required, such as staff onboarding for new employees, management of performance reviews, and exit interviews
  • Documenting Meeting Minutes for meetings
  • Administrative support to Project Team
  • Administrative support to Estimating Team
  • Setting up appointments, conferences and managing meetings
  • Organising company events
  • Ordering stationery and supplies for the office and construction sites
  • Liaising with external IT consultant for IT requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Experience within a similar role, preferably within the construction industry
  • Site Project Administration experience will be highly regarded
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-player attitude and the ability to develop positive working relationships
  • Technically proficient across computer use, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDF, Dropbox, ProCore (training can be provided), and Internet
  • Ability to prioritise tasks for efficiency
