The Role:

The Merchandise Administration Assistant supports the category/merchandise team to achieve the growth and profitability targets for their category, in this instance Lighting. There is a strong focus on administrative processes, data analytics, and some marketing support.

Duties include:

  • Provide admin support all members of the category team
  • Assist with loading of images and catalogue layouts
  • General marketing support
  • Administer processes relating to the category
  • Manage product data related activities including vendor cost changes, clearance excess reporting, product data and pricing maintenance
  • Assist with retail and trade promotional builds and ensure deadlines are met
  • Assist with event and promotional planning
  • Data base management
  • Compile weekly reports

About You:

Desirable

  • Previous administration experience
  • Keen interest in marketing or growing a career in merchandise
  • Retail or trade experience

Required

  • High level excel skills
  • Strong organisational skills (able to juggle a number of constantly changing priorities)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to work effectively without close supervision, with a flexible approach
