About the role

Mater Health currently has a great opportunity available for Pharmacy Technicians / Assistants / Students to join the COVID19 Vaccination teams based at Mater sites at South Brisbane, Springfield and Redlands. These positions are to start IMMEDIATELY and ideally you will be available to work on a 7-day roster if required. Positions will be offered on a fixed-term or casual basis, working full-time or part-time hours.

What you’ll be doing

You will become an integral part of our COVID19 Vaccination team that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of Mater employees.

  • Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants will assist with the preparation of COVID-19 vaccines for Mater staff and the wider community;
  • Contribute to the maintenance of an environment which promotes safety, security and personal integrity of individual patients and groups;
  • Complies with policies, procedures, work instructions and guidelines;
  • Ensure confidentiality of corporate information;
  • Some weekend work and extended hours will be required.

While providing you the ability to work at the top of your scope, you will be supported by an experienced and knowledgeable multidisciplinary team to assist you in being exceptional every time.

About you

To be considered suitable for these opportunities you will be:

  • Experienced with vaccinations previously (Desirable)
  • Current AHPRA registration (without restriction)
  • Have completed or be willing to complete the COVID-19 Vaccination Training Program (and AstraZeneca and Pfizer modules) (https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/mA0KCK1DZQF8AolptMUB5U?domain=health.gov.au)
  • Be available for a minimum of 2 shifts per week.
  • Able to work part time extra shifts in addition to your contracted hours in your current role, or are currently employed by Mater casually and/or interested in a temporary contract.
  • Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
