About this role
As a Workshop Associate - Inspections, you will be a part of a world class car refurbishment facility that will be amongst the largest in Australia within 18 months. When you join you will embed in a team that carries out one or more stages of the refurbishment process. These teams are:

  • Car inspections
  • Quality control
  • Detailing
  • Yard movement and coordination

We will get to know you and your skillset and preferences before allocating you to the team that suits you best. Over time we will also create opportunities for upskilling - either to progress up to learn more skills within your team, or to get the opportunity to move between teams on rotation to master multiple areas.
You will report to the workshop manager with roles available in Melbourne. Sydney and Brisbane in the coming months.
Responsibilities, depending on the team you join may include:

  • Test driving cars to identify defects
  • Inspecting new cars upon arrival at our facility, deciding which stages of the refurb process it needs to undergo
  • Detailing cars in brand new, fully equipped facilities
  • Quality controlling cars that are complete, completing checklists to ensure they meet customer requirements
  • Photographing cars using ‘spin-car’ apps and iphones

What you should have

  • Prior exposure to the automotive industry
  • A working knowledge of cars - you may have been a detailer, a sales associate, played a role in a workshop or similar
  • An ability to keep an open mind and build your skills across different areas - we may not do things the way you are used to!
  • An ability to work collaboratively in a team, take on feedback and adapt to changes
