Job Description


The role

We are currently looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our Global Logistics Division based in Karawatha. Working in the National Control Tower as part of the Resources division, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and will play a critical role with expediting. You will ensure all freight tasks are completed safely, efficiently and in line with Toll Policies and Procedures. Additionally, the roles will involve booking freight with service providers, using Mytoll / Tollworks systems, customer service, managing suppliers and assisting with Mytoll bookings.

As the Logistic Coordinator, you will:

  • Be hands on - booking and executing daily tasks.
  • Effectively supervise, subcontractors, and support infield operations.
  • Work with the sales team and liaise with suppliers.
  • Ensure equipment, procedures and processes comply with customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with fatigue management, load restraint and relevant legislation.
  • Promote a professional and motivated team culture.

Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within Transport/Logistics.
  • Knowledge of General Freight, Linehaul, DG and Container import/export.
  • Awareness of road, rail, air, and sea – advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas industry (safer together) – beneficial.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills – written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of COR, NHVR – fatigue and maintenance.
  • The capability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Analytical skills – critical thinking and logical reasoning.
  • Mytoll / Tollworks advantageous.
  • Computer literacy – Intermediate MS Office Suite
