Network Access Control Officer

The Access Control Officer (ACO) works as part of a team coordinating and managing access to the Transurban Queensland (TQ) network. The ACO is responsible for assisting the Network Permit Officer (NPO); this includes managing controlling access to the tunnel maintenance closures, assisting in the pre-start tool box meetings and managing Transurban equipment and keys.

The ACO responsibilities also include providing a point of escalation for more complex network access matters.

This is a casual position that requires working night shifts MON – THURS with the occasional Sunday(20.00 – 06.00)

The impact you’ll have:

  • You’ll monitor all tunnel closure points

  • You’ll ensure compliance with all network access requirements

  • You’ll ensure everyone is accounted for

  • You’ll assist our assets team with toolbox meetings

  • You’ll establish strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

  • You’ll communicate any non-compliance

  • You’ll let maintenance personnel onsite and issue keys and tags

The talents you’ll bring:

  • A background in monitoring exit/entrance points (security etc.)

  • You’ll hold an industry white card

  • You’ll be comfortable working night shifts on a casual basis

  • You’ll have a current open drivers licence

  • You’ll have strong verbal/written communication skills
