As an Excitation and Power Generation Sales Manager, you will ensure execution of Division, Business Unit or Product Group sales strategy for Process Automation business area in Fortitude Valley; Australia, achieves both qualitative and quantitative targets for products, systems and/or services in a profitable way.

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for leading and developing and coaching the Sales organization proactively, to exceed the sales targets through high performance and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities

  • Creating plans and implements sales strategy, and strategic sales and business development initiatives focused on the technical areas of excitation and power generation, in alignment with global sales strategy by achieves sales targets in respect of both budgets and sales efficiency.
  • Establishing excitation and power generation sales targets and ensures sales achievement through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed within defined geographical area.
  • Coordinating the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts, etc. and evaluates data to ensure achievement of goals. Monitoring and providing reports to the marketing and sales organization on market intelligence.
  • Supporting the development of strong relationships with key customers. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key decision makers and ensuring efficient marketing communications.
  • Ensuring achievement of sales volume and product mix targets by setting appropriate price and margin for sales and participating on negotiations of key contracts.
  • Monitoring client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams and taking ownership of the sales processes, and all relevant training and development plans, actions and programs.
  • Ensuring (with HR support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaches, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.

Your background

  • Relevant solutions/systems selling experience in Australia market
  • Knowledge of excitation systems and/or power generation is desired.
  • Tertiary qualifications in either Engineering, Business or another relevant course is preferred
  • Demonstrated success in developing strong business relationships at a senior level.
  • Strategic sales planning and analysis for business growth
  • Must have current driver’s license.
