Our Development line of business are currently seeking a Development Manager to join the team based in our South Brisbane office. Reporting to the Development Director, the Development Manager will be responsible for the delivery of land developments for residential master-planned communities in Queensland.

As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include:

  • Regular site visits to monitor and discuss safety, quality, costs, design issues etc.
  • Manage the creation of the Project and/or Product Brief
  • Manage the design process to achieve targets in brief, cost, value management and timeframes
  • Manage planning and development approvals
  • Manage with the Consultants the tender process including reviews and recommendations; review all contract documentation
  • Ensure contracts are correctly prepared and property titling plans are ready for settlements
  • Prepare and manage applications for Funding Approvals, obtain authority and service provider approvals
  • Ensure customer service for purchaser variations, inspections, settlements, maintenance etc.
  • Assist the Marketing and Sales teams in preparing strategies and marketing material
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with local authorities, consultants and contractors, and internal/external sales agents

As the ideal applicant you will possess:

  • Relevant qualifications in property development, construction, engineering and/or urban planning
  • Significant experience managing teams on large-scale land residential estate developments
  • Demonstrated experience in civil urban design, urban planning approvals, residential construction, cost planning and control, procurement and contract administration
  • Adept at decision making and problem solving
  • Skills in MS Word and advanced Excel skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
