About The Role

The Maintenance Execution Specialist (Coordinator) executes key elements of the work management process on site, ensuring compliance to defined maintenance processes to enable and support the Field and Infrastructure Maintenance leaders in maintaining critical equipment such as Electric Draglines and Shovels and Mine Site Infrastructure.

Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Field and Infrastructure, this new opportunity will play an integral role in supporting supervisors achieving adherence to maintenance plans, reviewing the quality of the work management process, assisting with arranging break in work in the execution week and communicating with key customer stakeholders of equipment availabilities. You will be highly focused on data integrity and maintaining up to date information in SAP as well as draw on your keen technical ability to plan and schedule break in or opportune work based on safety, risk to equipment to maximise reliability and forward planning.

Your current Trade Qualification, knowledge of maintenance management in SAP and well-developed understanding of maintaining mining equipment and materials handling will ensure your success in this Coordinator opportunity.

This role is residential role based at BMA’s Saraji Mine, Central Queensland, and is being offered as on an 8/6 roster. Subsidised accommodation in Dysart will be provided as part of the benefits on offer.

About You

Working within a team environment, your collaborative communication style and interpersonal skills will be essential in allowing you to build relationships across departments and to communicate with disciplines at all levels.

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following qualifications, skills, knowledge and desired experience:

  • Technical maintenance knowledge (trade qualification or tertiary study) is preferred, ideally with Draglines, Shovels and Infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge in maintenance planning / execution and 1SAP and understanding of quality work management
  • The ability to read and understand maintenance plans and have a working knowledge of how to prioritise work to maximise Safety and Productivity
  • Practical knowledge in parts interpretation and sourcing, stock transfers, urgent freight
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with Supervisors and production customers to articulate priorities and understand the forward log of maintenance work in order to facilitate proactive and preventative maintenance
  • An understanding of Contractor Management and site access / compliance requirements
  • Working with contractors to ensure completion of time confirmations and scanned completed inspection sheets and other SAP data required to effectively closeout work orders.
