Company

This business is one of Australia's most prevalent designers and wholesalers of a range of resort and beach apparel. They have been in operation for decades and their products can be seen throughout many retailers in Australia, north and south America, New Zealand, Canada, Hawaii and Japan. They design, manufacture and distribute a range of beach wear for children and adults, as well as a range of gift and souvenir products that can largely be seen in upper market resorts and hotels globally.

Position

Due to an internal positional change the Gold Coast to Northern NSW Territory has now become available. The role is responsible for taking over an existing portfolio of very loyal customers spread from the Gold Coast through to the North and mid coast of NSW.

The bulk of customers are largely independent retailers located in tourist destination locations. Your role is to work with each account in assisting to achieving high sell through of all products. You will represent the entire portfolio of brands and working with each retail customer in planogramming and merchandising is key to the success and continued fruitful relationship with high sell through rates.

The overall responsibility of the position is to maintain and grow the territories profitability and this will come from organic growth within your customer base. This is not a new business development role and we are looking for excellent relationship builders.

On offer is a generous salary package up to $80k salary + car + commission, as well as the chance to join a very successful global Australian business with a fantastic culture and long-term career scope.

Candidate

Essentially all candidates will need to have previous territory sales experience selling into the retail sector. This experience would ideally come from within the clothing industry, however we are also open to candidates from outside, as long as you can demonstrate a successful sales track record selling into the independent retail arena.

Most essentially, all candidates will need to demonstrate high levels of self-drive and motivation, an entrepreneurial mindset. A strong understanding of planogramming and merchandising, an ability to work autonomously, a willingness to embrace the already fantastic culture and a genuine passion for career success.
