The role 

Our client is a government entity based in Gympie. We are seeking a Contract Administration officer for a 12 months full time assignments. 

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include: 

  • Undertake a range of sales and resource support related activities as directed including assisting in the administration of permits, customer maintenance, receipting and invoicing functions, management of financial securities, as well as data entry activities relating to sales and other information systems.
  • Provide information and assist clients on the routine application of departmental sales policies, standards, procedures and legislation and refer or escalate more complex enquiries.
  • Provide input into the ongoing improvement of Forest Products' and departmental sales support systems and procedures, to facilitate the effective functioning of the Forestry business unit.
  • Utilise information systems to analyse data and provide reports as requested to allow for decision making.
  • Undertake Operational Procurement actions to support harvesting, fire management and resource identification functions.
  • Provide input into management and assessment of Conversion of Tenure actions.
  • Undertake other duties as they may arise and within the current skills and capability level of the position, as directed.

You will have:

Knowledge of legislation, policies, procedures, systems and standards applicable to management of forestry permits and sales and resources functions and the ability to effectively implement and communicate this knowledge.

Relevant transferrable experience would be desirable eg data entry, procurement, receipting, banking, invoicing, general office duties.

Travelling and working away from headquarters may be an occasional requirement of this position.

Travel allowances are payable in accordance with policies and directives.

Possession of a current Queensland C class Driver's License or equivalent is desirable
