JOB DESCRIPTION

About Us

Be has cultivated a culture where people feel included, supported and respected. And we know how to have fun! When you are surrounded by like-minded people with a shared vision that makes for a pretty awesome place to work.

Be is a leading aged care and health and wellbeing specialist that is doing more than what’s expected to really make a difference in the community. Be is dedicated to supporting people to live fulfilling and meaningful lives with a range of services to meet every individual’s needs. We are the carers, the helpers and life-changers of this world, supporting people to live independently at home longer... and that’s a great place to be.

We provide Home Care Packages, as well as CHSP home support, transport, social support and community services to more than 30,000 people across Queensland. We currently have eight regional offices with a geographical spread from Toowoomba to Cairns.

We’ve created a community – a family - where we choose to look beyond how things are, to how much better they can be. And we are inviting you to become part of our community.

About the Role

Be is searching for a dynamic Care Team Leader who has some solid care management skills and is driven to lead a fantastic team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining responsibility for Domestic Assistance, Personal Care and brokering home maintenance needs within the region;
  • Delivering high quality care services to ensure targets and outcomes are met within budget;
  • Assisting with recruitment and onboarding of new team members and provide ongoing training, mentoring and support;
  • Assisting the Care Coordinator to prepare agreements and care plans;
  • Assisting with the preparation of audits, reviews, submissions and quality assurance activities;
  • General administrative duties, including overseeing scheduling of team members and clients; and
  • Maintaining a sound level of service knowledge in particular regarding CHSP and HCP.

Other things you need to know:

  • Permanent full time;
  • 80 hours per fortnight, resulting in a monthly RDO;
  • Based in Ipswich, but also supporting the West Moreton, Logan and Toowoomba region.

Selection Criteria

This position is best suited to someone who has:

  • 4+ years’ experience in the Care industry;
  • Relevant Certificate III qualification (i.e. individual support, aged care, community services, disability);
  • An understanding of the Aged Care Act, Aged Care Quality Standards and Quality Care Principles;
  • Demonstrated people management and leadership skills;
  • The ability to deliver exceptional client service while genuinely caring for our clients; and
  • Exceptional communication, administration and time management skills.

Desirable skills include:

  • A formal qualification in Leadership / Management; and
  • Experience using Sandwai will be beneficial.

You also must have or be willing to obtain upon employment:

  • Current open drivers licence;
  • A comprehensively insured, reliable car;
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate;
  • Clear National Criminal history check;
  • An influenza vaccination in the past 12 months; and
  • QLD Transport Restricted Drivers Authorisation (RDA).

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work within Australia’s newest health and wellness hub;
  • Great organisational culture and job satisfaction;
  • Salary Packaging opportunities; and
  • Flexible, Innovative, fast-paced, supportive and rewarding team environment.

If you think you have what it takes, submit your CV and Cover Letter specifically addressing the key selection criteria above.

Be Creative! Be fun! Be real! Tell us who you REALLY are! Whilst qualifications are important, we care more about who you are as opposed to what you are on paper.
