We are looking for an experienced and versatile social media specialist who can take our social media strategy to the next level.

Reporting to the Marketing and Brand lead this role will work close with marketing, talent, experience design, corporate affairs, and advocacy teams as well as our centre network to amplify the Goodstart brand.

The role will be responsible for the strategic planning, community management and administration of all Goodstart’s corporate social media channels, including the delivery of relevant executive insights and reports. You will also take a lead on building the collective social media presence and capability of our 600+ centres nation-wide.

You will need to be a strategic thinker focusing on key metrics on each stage of the funnel including awareness, acquisition, retention and referrals and will need to work closely with our digital media agency to assess and optimise our ongoing digital campaign performance.

You must be passionate about writing for a range of audiences and a voracious consumer of content yourself.

To be successful in this role you will need to have outstanding client and stakeholder relationship skills and excel at creating compelling multimedia content for a variety of channels.

Your Impact

  • Build and lead the execution of Goodstart’s social media strategy
  • Manage and oversee Goodstart’s corporate and social purpose social media accounts including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Optimise company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of content
  • Liaise with our external media agency on social trends, opportunities and optimisation of our digital campaigns
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and recommendations on tactics
  • Produce and repackage content into different media formats in order to optimise engagement.
  • Develop a multi-platform editorial calendar and liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure brand relevance and consistency
  • Provide governance over more than 670 Goodstart centre Facebook pages and build the capability of centre-level administrators through training sessions, resources and campaign development.
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and recommendations on tactics


You’ll Help Achieve This By
  • Have 3-5 years’ experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
  • Ideally hold tertiary qualifications in journalism, communications, digital or marketing related discipline
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and other social media best practices
  • Extensive understanding of social media KPIs
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Excellent at multi-tasking and working to a deadline
  • Great collaborator and communicator
  • Team player with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
