The Role
As a Logistics Compliance and Assurance Officer (LCAO), you are the team lead for the Logistics Support section undertaking Logistics compliance and assurance (including stocktaking) activities to support to the inventory and warehousing specialists in assuring compliance of Defence assets and inventory on behalf of the Australian Defence Force, and in accordance with Defence inventory and financial obligations.

You will oversee the development of the Defence cyclic stocktake program, oversee the conduct of stocktakes and monitor progress achievement reporting.

You be involved in investigating and reporting on non-compliances, conduct planned and unplanned checks, and random sampling to assure compliance with the Defence Logistics Manual, including the Electronic Supply Chain Manual processes.

You will provide guidance to assist unit personnel with the remediation of non-compliances through corrective actions.

You will participate in training to achieve and maintain competencies and proficiencies required for inventory compliance and assurance duties, including auditing, and also provide instructional training and information sessions to unit members to ensure they are kept up to date on current Logistics policy, process and procedures.

About our Team
You will lead a team of six diverse, talented professionals working together within the spectrum of Defence compliance and Assurance activities.

Your team is one of four teams operating within the Business Management Branch and you'll report directly to the Business Manager.

Business Management Branch is one of four branches, under the control of a Branch Head, within the Joint Logistics Unit South Queensland that report to a Commanding Officer.
