ATSICHS Brisbane is a not-for-profit community owned health and human services organisation delivering on the unique health and wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in greater Brisbane and Logan. We are the largest, most comprehensive Aboriginal Medical Health Service in Queensland. Our services include medical and dental clinics, family and child services, social and emotional wellbeing services, early childhood programs, youth services and an aged care facility.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide skilled health assessment, diagnosis and treatment services to clients Practice
  • Work to foster productive relationships with all clinic, program and support staff internally and externally.
  • Provide clinical leadership in the clinic team.
  • Accurately document client files with treatment and medication information.
  • Support and education of trainees including GP registrars and undergraduate student placements.
  • Timely and effective reporting of clinical incidents. Management of clinical incidents.
Skills and Experiences:
Unconditional registration with AHPRA
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a medical practitioner in a general practice / primary health care setting (including post-graduate training)
Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
Ability to support a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes.
Decisive listening, influencing and persuasive skills.
Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply

Desirable, but not mandatory:
Previous experience of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
Registered GP Supervisor
Vocational Registration
