About the Department
An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Registered Nurse to join the Rehabilitation team on a permanent part time basis. The Rehabilitation Ward (25 beds) provides and intensive, inpatient program for those who have a short term or long term disability as the result of illness or surgery.

About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will support the nursing team by:

  • Provide patient care as required with a coaching/ teaching focus.
  • Be actively involved in admission and discharge planning.
  • Be an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Participate in Risk and Quality management of the ward.

As a Registered Nurse you will also be responsible for your own professional development, for supporting and assisting your colleagues and facilitating achievement of mandatory competencies.

Classifications for this position will range from Registered Nurse Grade 2 YP3 - YP11 ($63,236 - $89,902 per annum).


  • Ensure a high standard of patient care is delivered. Act as a clinical role model by providing the highest standard of direct patient care
  • Participate in Quality and Risk activities on the ward.
  • Awareness of costs affecting work practice to ensure that optimal efficiency is achieved and quality of practice is maintained

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor of Nursing Degree with AHPRA registration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in Rehabilitation Nursing is desirable but not essential
