As a Communications and Customer Experience Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our Strategy and Development team for Transport Services, where you will champion the support excellence in creating engaging digital and printed communications.

Transport Services is one of the biggest growth areas in Downer, and this role will play a major part in ensuring we have a solid internal and external profile with our customers.

About the role
This role is the perfect development opportunity, where you will be included in exciting projects and support across varied marketing functions. You will support the growth of our Customer Experience function through co-design workshops, developing personas, and mapping out our customer experience journeys. You'll also need to be familiar with standard social media platforms and channels

Your will day to day be:

  • Collaborating and producing our both internal and external communications ensuring tone and style are consistent across all digital platforms
  • Developing compelling and inspiring story is told through collateral
  • Interviewing subject matter experts to hear their stories, and turning these into meaningful and engaging content for our customers
  • Writing content and source imagery for Transport Services printed and online channels to educate, inspire and inform the public and other stakeholders on our people and capability

About you
You don't shy away from learning opportunities - which is great, because there will be plenty here for you to do. With this in mind, you will be proactive, acting with pace and persistence, taking ownership, accountability and delivering results. You're definitely a team player; a professional, confident, reliable, dedicated and supportive participant with strong attention to detail.

You might have studied marketing, journalism, communications, or a related area, but you will have had 1-2 years of experience in marketing and/or communications. You'll need an understanding of storytelling formats, and how to create compelling content that ultimately brings leads to our business. We're looking for someone with demonstrable written content production experience so if you have a portfolio of examples of your work, we're keen to see it.

Ideally, you'll have Intermediate to Advanced MS Office and perhaps you have delved a bit in either the CX or UX space..
