We offer an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, Archaeology ($94,056 - $131,287) to join our world-leading institution at James Cook University (JCU). This full-time continuing appointment is based at the JCU Nguma-bada campus in Cairns.

What you can accomplish in the Role
Joining a dynamic team of professionals, you will be responsible for the conduct of research and for the delivery of innovative and contemporary teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate Archaeology, Coastal Archaeology and/or Cultural Heritage Studies programs. You will have the opportunity to take a lead role to develop and conduct research activities in these fields as well as supervising HDR students in Archaeology and interdisciplinary fields.

What you will bring to the Role
As an enthusiastic and qualified academic, you will have a have a strong background in Archaeology with demonstrated commitment, experience and capacity for teaching together with experience in developing and leading curriculum for Archaeology and related disciplines. You will also have a proven track record of research and impact of research in the field of Archaeology and demonstrate the ability to attract competitive research grants relative to opportunity and level.
