We offer an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer, Mathematics Education ($94,056 - $110,981) to join our world-leading institution at James Cook University (JCU). This full-time continuing appointment is based at the JCU Bebegu-Yumba campus in Townsville.

What you can accomplish in the Role
Joining a dynamic team of professionals, you will be responsible for both the development of innovative and contemporary course materials and the delivery of teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate Education programs. You teach in the discipline of mathematics education across early childhood, primary and/or secondary generalist education and will support community engagement and work collaboratively with schools in the region whilst supporting the University’s Strategic Intent.

What you will bring to the Role
As an enthusiastic and qualified academic, you will have a have a strong background in Education or an Education-related discipline and be eligible for immediate registration with the Queensland College of Teachers. With demonstrated commitment, experience and capacity for teaching and research you will work collaboratively on research/teaching projects in Mathematics Education, preferably those that pertain to our current research imperatives in STEM Education, Education for Sustainability, Indigenous Education, and regional, rural, and remote education.
