We offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lecture, Guidance and Counselling, Career Development and Education ($114,363 - $131,287) to join our world-leading institution James Cook University (JCU). This full-time continuing appointment is based at the JCU Bebegu-Yumba campus in Townsville.

What you can accomplish in the Role
Joining a dynamic team of professionals, you will be responsible for the development of innovative and contemporary course materials and the delivery of these programs in postgraduate Education. You will also provide support for community engagement, working collaboratively with partners, schools, professional bodies and relevant organisations in the region whilst supporting the University’s Strategic Intent.

What you will bring to the Role
With a PhD in Guidance and Counselling and/or Career Development, you will be registrable as a counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association as well as a Career Development Practitioner with the Career Industry Council of Australia. With a demonstrated commitment and capacity for teaching, research and leadership you will demonstrate successful teaching experience and engagement in school settings together with successful guidance and counselling and career development experience.
