  • A leading role to ensure the Hotel is in perfect shape for our customers

About The Role:

  • The Maintenance Manager for the iconic and award-winning Lancemore Mansion Hotel Werribee Park will be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintaining a proactive preventative maintenance program, throughout the property. Repairs will include basic carpentry and plumbing, fixtures and fittings (adjusting, replacing), painting, landscaping
  • Liaise with the Front Office team to log and complete maintenance tasks related to accommodation rooms and hotel public areas.
  • Build a strong and collaborative relationship with all stakeholders in the business, including guests, Team Members and Parks Victoria
  • Ensure cost control measures are implemented and all administration duties are completed in a timely manner
  • Regularly inspect all work areas to ensure they are organised and well maintained
  • Coordinate monthly stock takes to record and manage all stock and ensure sufficient stock is available
  • Purchase equipment and select contractors which meet quality standards and comply with budget guidelines
  • Manage a small team of maintenance staff
  • Engage, Coordinate and Supervise external contractors
  • Ensure company standards, systems and procedures being implemented and maintained

About You:

  • Positive and optimistic attitude – "we can do anything" approach
  • Experience with fixing day to day things – lights, taps, paint etc
  • Logical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to coordinate contractors to get efficient results
  • Ability to understand what the customer sees – and ensure our property is always kept to the highest standard
  • Ability to work with teams, and communicate clearly and in time
  • Knowledge and experience working with large plant (boiler, chiller, pool/spa)
  • Knowledge of a trade beneficial
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice highly regarded
  • Supervisory experience of maintenance activities in a fast moving lean environment
  • Ideally experienced in hotels
  • Demonstrated Customer service excellence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
