Operating as one of Queensland's largest technical services providers, this organisation has established themselves as a market leader through offering customised solutions for their clients and partners. Working across multiple industries such as construction, property, retail and defence they offer a fast paced and challenging environment for their employees. To assist in the continued the success within the organisation we are looking to on-board an experienced Management Accountant, who is seeking the prospect of utilising your skills to ensure the on-going financial health of the business.

About the Role

Reporting to Financial Controller you will be required to perform the following duties:

  • Co-ordinate the budget process and budget documentation
  • Develop supporting worksheets for budgets at each milestone
  • Engage with key staff and management in budget preparation and discussions (including operating and capital budgets, project finance)
  • Implement Strategic plan with senior management
  • Lead costing exercises and manage reporting of forecast income and expenditure
  • Provide specialist advices in relation to complex problems and ensure quality of outputs for the work area
  • Assist in monthly management accounting with timely preparation of reporting and commentaries on a monthly basis
  • Demonstrate strong excel and system skills in preparation of budget templates and reporting

About You

We are looking for an individual who can hit the ground running and assist in this busy reporting period for our client. Ideally you will have obtained your CA/CPA and have previous experience in managing the budget process for a complex organisation. Successful applicants will have demonstrated skills in budget design, analysis and implementation and have been in a role with a strong business partner focus. You will be a self-starter with a can do attitude, and have the ability to work within a team environment. You will also have the ability to work effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines and prioritise work flow and high attention to detail with a conscientious work ethic. Strong system skills developing budgets in Excel is also essential.
