The Opportunity

Lifeline Retail (part of UnitingCare) is seeking applicants for a Storeperson role. This position is to assist with the set up and operation of a large retail event (Bookfest) located at BCEC South Brisbane. 

Please note this is a temporary casual position. Applicants would be required to be available for the below dates / shifts only: 

22/6/2021 - 6/7/2021. These shifts include both day and evening work.

 In thisrole you will

  • Ensure product and event presentation is of a high standard
  • Complete tasks as directed 
  • Assist in the setup of equipment
  • Assist in the setup of tables
  • Pack, unload and stock product (books)
  • Have an excellent understanding of WH&S procedures
  • Work to and within a COVID safe plan and environment

What you'll need

  • Previous warehouse or event setup experience
  • Ability to work to a strict timeframe
  • Be self-motivated and show initiative
  • Have a positive attitude and good personal presentation
  • Be able to carry out manual handling tasks
  • Be able to work independently as well as within a team
  • Be available to work weekends and evening shifts 

The inherent requirements of this role are physically demanding you will need to be physically fit with the capability to complete tasks that require regular lifting, standing and walking.
