Sweet Pea has an opportunity for a Marketing Specialist/Social Media Coordinator to join the team on a full-time maternity cover contract for a fixed period of 12 months. With the opportunity to extend as a full-time employee after 12 months. 

Sweet pea is a family-owned business that currently employs 10 staff in Brisbane. In just 5 years we have seen an average of 72% growth every year and we are growing in popularity rapidly as one of the biggest machine embroidery pattern sellers and sewing supplies online shop, worldwide.

The right candidate will become an important part of our company working in a team, as well as independently, to take Sweet Pea to the next level. Your role will focus strongly on promoting our online brand presence by managing our social media accounts, including Facebook and Instagram, newsletter and website. Additionally, this individual will understand the target audience and create an appropriate strategy to reach this group 65+ females, worldwide in particular the USA. 

Role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing SEO, email and social media campaigns.
  • Planning, scheduling, implementing and evaluating digital campaigns and website performance.
  • Monthly reporting providing analysis and recommendations
  • Manage website and implement updates
  • Create and distribute meaningful content across all platforms
  • Approaching, building and maintaining relationships with new and existing brands and influences in the industry.
  • Marketing the brand in new and innovative ways.


  • Digital Marketing experience, in particular, strong social media management experience.
  • Proven ability to drive and optimise digital strategy.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, with excellent written communication and content development skills.
  • Strong presentation and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge/Experience using Shopify, Active Campaigns or similar.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage your daily workload and project timelines.
  • A commitment to providing high-level customer service.
  • An ability to identify opportunities to build the brand, while also identifying and managing risks.

Photography or videography skills would be highly regarded but are not essential.
