Position Summary

  • $22.43 per hour + 9.5% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging
We’re seeking an experienced Maintenance & Grounds Officer to join our team at our Townsville Mt Louisa Aged Care Facility!

You’ll support with the maintenance and grounds services across our residential facility, including:
  • Support with repairs, preventative maintenance and refurbishments
  • General grounds upkeep, landscaping - overseeing any external contractors
  • Develop and deliver Summer and Winter gardening programs
  • General maintenance programs over the course of the year
What you’ll need:

  • Experience in general building, plant and equipment maintenance
  • Experience in gardening/landscape/grounds maintenance, including
  • Knowledge of herbicides, pesticides and safe work practices
  • Relevant Trade Qualifications or Certificate in Facilities, Building or Construction
  • Current Open driver’s license

Selection Criteria
Desirable: Do you hold a current Class "C" Australian Drivers Licence?
Desirable: During the last 2 years of employment have you worked in a role that has required you to carry out repairs to a building that was not functioning as intended and you have provided remedial repairs?
Desirable: Are you confident in your ablity to use a ride-on or zero turn mower?
Desirable: Do you have experience in the management of trade qualified staff and/or external service providers?
Desirable: Do you have beginner to intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook?
