We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified Speech Pathologists who would like the exciting opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary and wholistic practice in Brisbane, Australia.

The Opportunity

This is an incredible opportunity for a qualified Speech Pathologist with experience in paediatrics to take the next step in your career.

As a high performing Speech Pathalogist, you will be able to proactively contribute to a team and help the business excel. You will work autonomously whilst having the support of a strong team environment. You will be comfortable with simultaneously running a fast-paced caseload, nurturing client relationships, and applying best practice strategies and processes, using case management technologies.

Successful applicants must be passionate about working with children and families and providing a wholistic approach to intervention, education, and support.

Your key duties will include:

  • Provide assessment and ongoing therapy to support children, adolescents and families who are experiencing challenges in behaviour, emotional regulation, social skills, fine and gross motor development, development delay, autism, trauma or injury related concerns and prep readiness.
  • Assessing clients with a wide range of acute and chronic disorders and implementing effective Speech Therapy programs and interventions
  • Continually assessing, reviewing, and evaluating programs or treatments.
  • Implementing effective maintenance programs upon discharge from acute therapy
  • Effectively communicating with staff members, health professionals, clients, and family with regards to provision of Speech Therapy services
  • Aiding families through process of further investigation, through appropriate referrals and liaison with external professional such as General Practitioners or Paediatricians
  • Support the department Team Leader in organising professional development opportunities, such as upcoming courses and lectures, and reporting back on possible mentoring avenues
  • Supervise and instruct therapy assistants, volunteers, and students, always maintaining Speech Pathology Australia guidelines
