In this role you will perform a range of administrative functions across the Indigenous Student Engagement office related to Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP) matters. You will coordinate and administer the Indigenous tutorial support program and develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve the experiences and success of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at CQUniversity.

Position Requirements


  • An understanding of equity and social justice principles.
  • Knowledge of or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP) and its current guidelines.
  • Knowledge or ability to rapidly require knowledge of the Indigenous Advancement Strategy (IAS).
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the operation of Microsoft Office Software (email software, spreadsheeting, word processing), web browsers and online Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of CQUniversity’s policies, procedures and current legislation relevant to the higher education sector.
  • Excellent oral, written, online communication and interpersonal skills with experience working proactively and collaboratively with a team.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work, meet deadlines and resolve administrative or client-related problems with minimal supervision.
