About the role:
Mackay Regional Council has x2 permanent full-time and x2 temporary full-time (until June 2022) Asset Project Officer opportunities available to join the Asset Management team.

The Role:
The purpose of the Asset Project Officer is to assist in developing and implementing projects to support the delivery of the asset management improvement programme. Primarily responsible for the maintenance of current graphical records (utilising AutoCAD & ArcMAP Software) of Mackay Regional Council’s Infrastructure and to assist with the maintenance of electronic databases.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence
Sound experience and knowledge of asset management principles and practices.
Experience reading and interpreting drawing plans, including ‘as constructed’ plans.
Well-developed skills using AutoCAD Map and Microsoft Office Suite (including Microsoft Excel).
Knowledge of asset management software.
Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems and the requirements needed to correct and maintain the Digital Cadastral Database (DCDB). Favourable consideration for those with skills in Hansen software and GIS mapping software.
Knowledge of electronic filing systems and drafting standards.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

Base hourly rate from $36.21 p/hr + applicable allowances.
9 day fortnight roster
Standard 9.5% superannuation contribution (conditions apply)
