The Opportunity

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated team players to join our Employment Services team in the Greater Brisbane Region. Office locations include Ipswich and Richlands.

Your primary responsibility is to positively engage with those unemployed in our community and proactively to assist them to gain the skills, capabilities and confidence to find and secure sustainable employment.

This position will draw on your passion to motivate and inspire people, be adaptable and committed to our community and support jobseekers to secure employment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide service and support to jobseekers connected to employment activities and opportunities.
Engage candidates into work experience, work for the dole, training and volunteering opportunities to develop employability skills.
Be responsible for the effective and secure administration of NORTEC's systems and processes as they pertain to jobseekers.
Lead group job search, skill development and job hub activities.
Achieve individual, team and organisational performance targets.
Be an active part of a team.

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Exceptional customer service skills with an ability to influence, motivate and to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
Strong administrative and computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office programs and database systems.
A passionate, committed and ethical approach to helping members of the community.
Excellent professional presentation, time management, verbal and written communication skills and positive work attitude.
Ability to work in teams and learn new skills.
