Overview

  • 12 month full time fixed term contract
  • Monday to Friday position – have your weekends free
  • Working out of our Cairns Wellness Centre
  • Commencement base annual salary of $65,000 pa + superannuation + eligibility for Not-for-Profit salary packaging option
  • ESSA registration is essential

This particular role will be working with our clients in our Cairns Wellness Centre.

About the Role

Reporting to the Wellness Exercise Team Leader our Exercise Physiologists are responsible for the delivery of individualised and comprehensive exercise programs to suit older people and people living with disabilities. The focus of these programs include but is not limited to falls prevention, pain and injury management as well as social support to our client base.

Working within our state of the art Wellness Centres as well as conducting home visits, our Exercise Physiologist achieve customer satisfaction through seamless delivery of innovative programs that are developed with our client’s needs in mind.

As well as;

  • Completing initial assessments for older people and people living with disabilities
  • Developing networks and partnerships with important partners and stakeholders within the local community
  • Proficient in reaching set KPI’s
  • Supervise the delivery of group exercise programs
  • Champion a customer centric clinical services framework
  • Work cohesively within a remote organisational team and contribute to a continuous improvement culture
  • Develop and build strong networks and partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to travel between Wellness Centres as required

About You

  • Bachelor Degree qualification in Exercise Physiology and experience within a healthcare setting
  • Additional experience in delivering group exercise programs to the over 55's
  • Experience within a multidisciplinary team and exposure to collaborative practices.
  • Well-developed IT skills and experience with e-health technologies and telehealth monitoring
  • Drivers licence and ability to travel essential
  • Satisfactory completion of a police record check
  • Current ESSA registration is essential
