About the role

As our next Finance Analyst based in our Brisbane head office, you will support the Global Assets: Capital and Leasing function. The Capital and Leasing function supports the procurement, commercial and financing arrangements for all assets across the Thiess business. This role is key in the procure-to-pay tasks, the administration of leasing software and financial modelling and analysis.

In this role, you will also be responsible for:

  • Assist with the preparation of compliance requirements under various leasing contracts
  • Assist in the financial analysis of capital forecast movements and comparison between actual and budgeted positions
  • Process Capital purchase orders and receipting relating to capex transactions in line with Thiess’ Procurement and Capital policies
  • Liaise with Accounts Payable and Treasury functions to ensure payments are processed correctly and on time
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of capital and leasing business processes and reporting
  • Drive business processes and procedures to ensure appropriate contracts and checks are in place

About you

This role will best suit someone who is inquisitive, and solutions focused who possesses:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least five years of work experience in a similar, large organisation
  • Knowledge of capital expenditure procure-to-payment processes
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (JDE is preferable)
  • The ability to disseminate and report data accurately for use by key decision makers
  • Strong communication skills
