The People Strategy and Projects team is responsible for leading the development and continuous improvement of the enterprise-wide people and culture strategy, large-scale people and change initiatives and overseeing and leading the development, implementation and administration of Queensland Rail’s people systems. The team are seeking a permanent full time Program Coordinator to join them in Brisbane.

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining all project governance documentation for multiple projects, working closely with People Digital Solutions and Systems team, Project and Program managers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. The role will see you accountable for project reporting requirements and coordination of project activities in accordance with project stage gates.

We are seeking a candidate who displays a high level of initiative, an ability to build authentic relationships with key stakeholders and who isn’t afraid to have challenging conversations where required. To be successful in this role you will have experience in a similar ICT or Human Resources environment with substantial skills in recognizing and resolving issues associated with project tasks.

The preferred applicant for this position will need to have a thorough understanding of PMO methodologies as well as experience using MS Project and Visio.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • High level of skill in the application of project management methodologies within a multidisciplinary project management environment in accordance with recognised best practice project management methods
  • High level of skill in developing constructive stakeholder relationships and engaging stakeholders throughout the project.
  • High level of consultation and negotiation, oral and written communication skills.
  • Substantial skill in recognising and resolving issues associated with project tasks.
  • Substantial skill in scoping, managing and implementing project tasks.
  • Be a keen and supportive team member.

The salary for this role is approximately $96,000.00 + Super + free rail travel to and from work.
