Due to an internal promotion, we have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Manager to support our Blackwoods and Bullivants teams across QLD. Primarily you will be responsible for contributing to and assisting in the execution of strategy, plans and initiatives in the area of incident/injury prevention and risk mitigation in line with Wesfarmers Industrial and Safety policies, standards and procedures. Largely focusing on; leading, coaching, guiding, and mentoring in the identification of health, safety and well-being needs and development of solutions.


Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


  • Utilising strong facilitation, coaching, and influencing skills to achieve desired HSW outcomes
  • Act as internal consultant, advising, promoting, and coaching with respect to HSW policy implementation, risk management, injury and claims management
  • Coordinate and support the implementation of WIS HSW Management system and processes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Blackwoods and Bullivants in QLD


What you will need to succeed:


  • A minimum of 5 years proven experience in a Work, Health, Safety and injury management function ideally within a large and diverse organisation
  • A working knowledge of WHS legislation and Self Insurance
  • The ability to utilise strong facilitation, coaching and influencing skills to achieve desired results
  • A genuine passion and interest in the health, safety and well-being of our people.
  • Qualifications in a WHS or related discipline is highly regarded in your application.
  • Qualifications in Lead Auditor
  • Qualifications in ICAM investigation and training would be advantageous.
