In this position you will work as a member of the Finance Systems and Costing Control team managing and maintaining Queensland Rail's master data in SAP R/3 for Financial (FI) General Ledger and Controlling (CO) module, reconcile transaction data for SAP FI and CO for all companies and provide support on all other work undertaken by the Financial Systems team as required.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and update Queensland Rail's master data in SAP R/3 for the FI General Ledger and CO module.
  • Maintain and update master data in SAP R/3 Sales and Distribution module.
  • Perform the monthly reconciliation between FI and CO in SAP R/3.
  • Maintain and update Queensland Rail's costing functions in SAP R/3 CO module, working where necessary, with finance representatives from business groups.
  • Review Queensland Rail's existing finance processes and use of SAP R/3 transaction functionality and provide recommendations to stakeholders with regard to changes required to improve the organisation.
  • Undertake projects and tasks undertaken by the Financial Systems team with the objective of improving Queensland Rail's financial and costing system.
  • Contribute as part of a larger team (Financial Systems team and business group finance representatives), to identify and prioritise enhancements necessary to improve Queensland Rail's business information.
  • Provide necessary education and training to relevant staff across Queensland Rail, either to improve SAP R/3 financial systems knowledge across the organisation, or to explain the impact of any process or system changes.
  • Co-ordinate, develop, maintain and facilitate timely and cost-effective classroom and on-line training courses for financial accounting systems, specifically ERP.

In addition to this the successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive knowledge of SAP R/3 (ECC6.0) FI General Ledger and the CO module, particularly in the creation and maintenance of master data.
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP R/3's CO Reconciliation Ledger and reconciliation of SAP R/3 transaction data between FI to CO, including applied knowledge in the usage of the SAP Interactive Report.
  • Substantial knowledge of core financial systems and processes within a large complex organisation, with specific emphasis on business process, cost capture and data quality.
  • Knowledge of SAP BW

To be considered for this position you will be required to submit your relevant qualification which must be JP certified:

  • A Business or Commerce Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership to the CPA Australia or Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia will be advantageous

Starting salary: $110,328 + superannuation
