About the firm

Our client is a mid-sized accounting and advisory firm on the Sunshine Coast. They offer niche advice to businesses and business people who are proactive about achieving their business and lifestyle goals.

They are now seeking a Senior Accountant with a strong background in business development to join their team and bring in new business. Working alongside the Partner, you will spend half your time out of the office meeting lots of new clients and the other half managing those relationships within the office.

The Role:Client Relationship Managers support client relationship building and work collaboratively with the team and clients to deliver exceptional client service. Skilled in the consulting process they are able to analyse problems, design and implement practical solutions and manage projects for quality and profitability. They contribute to and support the development of the team, continually build and share knowledge, and engage in ongoing personal career growth.


  • Provide general assistance with the processing of all bookkeeping, accounting tasks and compliance
  • Encourage and promote team work with all staff. Processes used for client work are in line with ethical standards and procedural requirements.
  • Manage a client base effectively, including client access/contact, job turnaround, costing and debtor control. Be able to manage day-to-day client relations and deal with difficult interpersonal situations.
  • Maintain technical competence in all areas specific to our firm
  • Assist staff requiring technical assistance and support, in the areas of accounting, tax and administration.
  • To promote the interests of the business to the general community and enhance the firm’s goodwill.
Ideal Candidate
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards
  • Proven experience working as a Public Accounting Practice in Australia
  • Strong business development skills
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Experience using MYOB, Xero, BankLink, Reckon, Class & BGL
  • SMSF experience is a bonus!
