Our EVENTS department are back in full operation and busier than ever. With very strong forward bookings for everything from intimate weddings to large corporate events of 1000 we need to expand our team.

About The Role

  • Full time permanent, live on island positions; shifts on a rotating roster
  • Create outstanding plates of food, delivering a unique and special experience
  • Large variety of events ranging from live bbq stations, street parades, cooking lessons and master classes to triathlons, Hamilton Island Race Week, The Great Barrier Feast and more!
  • 120+ corporate functions and 450+ weddings annually
  • Conventions up to 1000 pax (60-120 pax average)

About You – You love what you do and know that as a team we can create magic.

  • Must have successfully completed Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills 
  • Energetic with a genuine passion for food
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Open manual Australian driver licence essential
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Chef de Partie or Sous Chef position
  • Previous experience in upmarket and off-site catering and/or luxury hotel banqueting
  • Demonstrated experience managing busy kitchens and leading teams
  • Impeccable grooming and personal presentation
