JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for an Assistant CCTV Analyst to join the CCTV Analysis Unit based at Makerston Street, Brisbane. You will play a vital role in providing support to safety and security (criminal) investigations conducted both within Queensland Rail and externally.

Responsibilities include:

• The procurement of recorded data to assist in the forensic analysis of recorded images and audio
• Downloading, cataloguing, examination, identification of relevant material, and isolating the required data in accordance with governing legislation policy and procedures.
• Utilise supplied technical equipment, hardware and software applications, in a high-volume Information Technology work environment to download, archive and file data to assist in conducting forensic analysis of images and audio.
• Assist by ensuring all evidence in digital, hard copy or intellectual is protected in accordance with policy and legislation.

To be considered for this opportunity you must be able to demonstrate relevant experience securing image and audio files. In addition, you must have:

• Sound level of skill of digital recording systems and techniques including system configuration, image and audio file downloading
• Substantial level of skill in learning new applications and processes pertaining to video processing, general preventative maintenance, fault identification and fault rectification of digital recording systems.
• High level of oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• High level of skill in applying relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures as they relate to the role.
• Sound level of skill in recognising behavioural traits that may be associated with criminal or anti-social activities,
• Abililiy to cope with viewing material which may be disturbing and/or cause distress.
• Knowledge of and willingness to commit to adhere to Queensland Rails Code of Conduct and work within Queensland Rail's Values and Behaviours.
