Our Customer Experience team drives strategic initiatives across Queensland Rail to ensure the customer is at the heart of everything we do. The team are seeking applications from highly experienced Business Support Officers interested in joining them on a permanent basis.

As a Business Support Officer, you will have a wide range of responsibilities, centred around supporting and engaging with key stakeholders in the business. The preferred candidate for this position must be confident in their ability to model, track and report critical data, as well as have excellent diary management skills and sound knowledge of finance systems and processes. You will be an excellent communicator, able to produce complex and detailed documentation to support, inform and affect outcomes. An ability to understand the business needs of a diverse range of stakeholders will be essential to your success in this role.

This role will be challenging at times, a sense of resilience and flexibility will be a must. We are a diverse organisation and in order to succeed in this position you will need to be a collaborative individual, not afraid to push for better results.

To be successful in this role:

  • Coordinate the various aspects of administration support and administration within the team, including document control, project reporting, finance and contract responsibilities and business process management
  • Coordinate and report the status of assigned projects and programs within the agreed timeframes and standards.
  • Provide business process design/redesign as well as communication strategies and change management plans and advice.
  • Produce complex and detailed documentation in support of assigned work and facilitate high level meetings to gather information, inform intentions, negotiate and affect outcomes.
  • Provide direct support to the SLT representative especially in the areas of specialist technical advice, business and project planning as well as administrative assistance as required.

The salary for this role is approximately $96,000.00 + Super + free rail travel.
