The Opportunity

The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for managing the strategy, development, and growth of LifeFlight’s community engagement program. This will include and is not limited to the delivery of key LifeFlight events (State-wide and local), and the direct management and mentoring of LifeFlight’s Community Engagement Team who are regionally based.

The Community Engagement Manager will work closely with the Director Community Development and be the key link between the Community Engagement team and Regional Advisory bodies, as well as the Community Engagement team and other key Foundation revenue areas.

The position will be based at LifeFlight Foundation office in Robina, Gold Coast and reports directly to the Executive Manager Fundraising. The role will also involve regular travel to other regional offices in Queensland.

About You

To be successful in this role you need to satisfy the essential selection criteria within the PD. Importantly, to apply for this role you must have:


  • Demonstrated experience of 2-3 years in a lead fundraising management role.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a cross section of fundraising revenue areas including community engagement, events, and peer to peer fundraising.
  • Demonstrated understanding of digital fundraising platforms and their effective utilization.
  • Demonstrated individual staff and team management experience that drives an environment that encourages and supports others
  • Demonstrated experience in working with regional / local volunteer and advisory groups
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, flexibility, patience, and an ability to relate well to different stakeholder groups.
  • Strong business, communication, and self-awareness skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout QLD and work nights and weekends as required.
  • QLD drivers licence.
  • Conducts highly sensitive work with tact, discretion and diplomacy while being committed to LifeFlight’s values.
