Take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity within the Owners Team at Lady Loretta Mine. Situated approximately 150kms northwest of Mount Isa Lady Loretta Mine is a high grade Zinc/Lead /Silver deposit owned by Glencore and operated in conjunction with our contracting partner. Consequently, this is a fast paced dynamic operation producing 1.6Mt of ore annually for processing.

The position will provide an outstanding career opportunity for a qualified Mine Geologist. The key responsibilities in this role will be to ensure all geological information required for developing, planning and operating the business is acquired, captured, modelled and interpreted in accordance with the Company standards and timeframes. The role also requires a high level of geological support to short-term technical teams and work alongside the Senior Geologist to execute improvement projects.

The successful candidate will have a relevant Bachelors degree, (a Masters would be well regarded) and around 3+ years’ experience in mine geology. You will have solid knowledge in diamond drilling design, core logging and data analysis. You will have exceptional communication skills and ability to work well autonomously or within a team. Time management skills and a high level of accuracy is key to succeeding within the role. Previous underground mining experience in a similar ore body and commodity and Surpac software or similar is required for this position. Exposure to being on an Owners Team for a contract mine is also highly regarded.

With a modern well-presented camp, the role is on offer to the right candidate as a 12-9 roster, DIDO from Mt Isa or FIFO from Brisbane.
