Internal Opportunity: Permanent, Full-Time Biomedical Technician position, working across all four Hospitals.

About the Role:

UnitingCare Health are currently seeking a Biomedical Technician. You will be accountable for technical support in the area of Medical Electronics across all four hospitals.

You will:

  • Participate in planning, design and implementation and maintenance of clinical networks
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks
  • Manage and perform installations and repairs of new and existing equipment and systems
  • Perform acceptance testing
  • Maintain equipment database including inventory, maintenance, repairs and status details
  • Provide technical assistant to all sections of the Hospital when required

About You:

You will be dynamic and highly-motivated with excellent communication skills and the confidence to work alone. In addition, you will display:

  • Qualifications in ICT Infrastructure, information technology or technical architecture in a clinical discipline - essential
  • Experience with medical electronics and/or medical equipment
  • Knowledge of network management including installation and configuration, fault finding and network security
  • Highly developed technical infrastructure knowledge
  • Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record system
  • Experience with infrastructure design tools
  • Possess or obtain a Restricted Electrical Work Licence
