About the opportunity
The Office for Research bring this to life by facilitating research excellence through the provision of highly skilled professional support and advice to the Griffith research community.

The primary role of a Research Grants Officer - Contracts is to provide high quality post-award grant and related contracts administration services to the Griffith University community and key stakeholders. The objective is to increase external funding of Griffith University research, and ensure that the University maintains a good reputation for effective grant management and administration. The role will also be required to undertake pre-award activities during peak periods to assist in the review and submission of grant applications.

This is a continuing, full time position based at the Nathan or Gold Coast campus however the successful applicant may also be required to work on other campuses of the University. If suitable candidates apply this role may be able to be shared between two part-time people.Griffith is a multi-campus university and therefore it is understood that this position will work across campuses as required.

About you
The successful candidate will have significant research contracts and/or grants administration experience in a central office of a university, medical research institute or similar organisation. You should have extensive knowledge of research grant funding opportunities, application processes and post-award management processes. You should be self-motivated and highly organised with an excellent attention to detail and an ability to prioritise a busy workload effectively.

Salary range

HEW Level 7: $87,632.28 - $94,940 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution.
