An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and hardworking Shift Supervisor to join our team at the Southbank Education and Training Precinct, providing facility maintenance services to TAFE Queensland, Brisbane. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 4:00pm – Midnight. This role is accountable for providing efficient coordination of after hours building services, waste, pest control, management of afternoon and night cleaning teams, and any other services as requested from time to time by the Support Services Manager. This includes responding to after hours building faults, reporting of WHS events/incidents, and supervision of support services in order to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. The Shift Supervisor is further responsible for maintaining a professionally presented and safe environment for our staff, customers, and service delivery partners. As a senior member of the team, this role entails working in a challenging environment, often under high pressure and having to deal with conflicting priorities to ensure the services are managed in an efficient and effective manner. The position requires the individual to plan, organise, and prioritise their work in order to meet targets and strict deadlines and provide timely and accurate information to all stakeholders. You will possess the following:• Certificate IV Frontline Management or equivalent• Certificate IV in Cleaning Management (preferable)• Tertiary qualifications in business or equivalent (desirable) • Open Driver’s License • Current First Aid / CPR qualifications (preferable)• Positive Notice Blue Card for Child Related Employment (or willingness to obtain)• Strong focus on quality, environment and safety Required Experience:• Previous experience in Facilities Management• Previous experience in Cleaning Administration / Supervision position• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• Customer service and public relations• Experience in managing individuals and teams• Experience in staff procedural training• Providing sound advice and leadership to staff• Ability to communicate with people from a variety of backgrounds in accordance with Spotless Professional Behaviours Policy• Experience in the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment• Zero Harm Safety Culture The successful candidate will be results driven, punctual, presentable, reliable, and customer focused.
