A medium size manufacturer in Yatala is seeking a competent and experienced Administrative Dispatch person who can demonstrate initiative, maturity and an eye for detail.

You will be expected to work in an open plan fast paced office environment. The role predominantly will be organising the dispatching of all orders, however you will be involved with other day to day operations of the office. The desire to take ownership of the role is an essential requirement for this position.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Organisation of all outgoing pallets including the booking of transport collection
  • Generating all dispatch documentation – consignment notes/delivery dockets (including for export orders)
  • Liaising with warehouse staff regarding orders to be ready and transport drivers upon arrival.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to customers both via phone and email
  • Entering Walk in Customer Orders and Invoicing
  • General Reception & Administration Duties

Requirements:

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience & attributes:

  • Previous experience in an administration dispatch role
  • Existing knowledge of the various aspects of transport (including consignment creation and calculating pallet dimensions/weights)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work under extreme time pressures and manage multiple tasks at the one time
  • The ability to grasp new procedures quickly and efficiently
  • The ability to work not only autonomously but also as apart of a team
  • Strong eye for detail
  • Very Reliable
  • Honest and able to show initiative
  • Confidence conversing with customers and transport on a face to face basis as the role sits at front of house.

Full Time: Monday to Friday - 7.00am to 3.30pm (38 Hour Week)
