We are now searching for a passionate Event Sales and Services Planner for a 12 month contract to cover a period of maternity leave.


This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and self-driven Event and Sales enthusiast to join our successful event management team, within a sales focused role. The primary objective of the Event Sales and Services Planner is to support the Event Managers by selling and managing exhibitor services for conferences and events. As a direct result of this, the Event Sales and Services Planner experiences many facets of event management from sales, client liaison, client relationship management, event planning, project management, communications and administration of events.

Due to the dynamic and competitive nature of the event industry and the moderate size of our event management team, the Event Sales and Services Planner is required to be flexible with their duties and possess a willingness to help with any duties within the department to ensure the event is well planned and ready for implementation, however some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing information and quotations to clients on exhibitor services with the aim of upselling where appropriate and generating additional event revenue
  • Assisting with development of the Exhibitor Services budget and executing strategies to yield additional event revenue
  • Researching and reporting on new innovative products and services and marketing knowledge and trends to increase services to clients
  • Maintaining Exhibitor Service collateral and forms such as menus and order forms
  • Directly contributing and encouraging a positive working relationship between the event management department and departments within the company to ensure smooth delivery of events


The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in a similar role acquired from a large venue such as a Convention Centre or other related event or conference facilities. You will also possess comprehensive administration, written and verbal communication skills, negotiation and selling skills. Liaising with clients will come naturally, as will the ability and desire to maintain lasting relationships with new and existing clients and work within a team environment.

Qualifications in event management and experience with event management software is not essential although it will be highly regarded.
