About the Role

Manage the business performance of the Townsville Branch in accordance with Toyota Material Handling Australia’s (TMHA’s) business plan and strategic direction and in a manner consistent with Toyota’s core values, management philosophy and code of conduct. The incumbent will require to ensure that the Townsville Branch achieves its KPI’s and targets.

This position is based at TMHA’s Townsville site. The role will require regular local and interstate travel driving business growth in the Northern Queensland area.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for leading and managing the performance and strategic direction of Townsville Branch as well as ensuring legal obligations and liabilities are met.

This position reports to the General Manager - Branch Operations Northern Region.

Other key aspects of the role include: -

  • Participate and support TMHA’s Business through developing and meeting the Branches Business Plan targets and financial objectives.
  • Ensure that the branches and TMHA’s legal obligations and liabilities are met and business, financial and operational risks are managed.
  • Provide input into the development of TMHA’s Business planning and strategic direction.
  • Ensure that the business adds value to the long-term viability of its customers and shareholders
  • Manage the branch in line with TMHA overall strategic and business plans and in accordance with 6 Keys to The Branch Profit indicators/measures
  • Provide the Branch with a common vision and focus in order to meet its business objectives.
  • Drive operational effectiveness and ensure a strong WHS&E culture
  • Continuously look for opportunities for ongoing business development, sales growth, improvement and support.
  • Ensure that the business adds value to the long term viability of its customers and shareholders.
  • Anticipate and respond promptly to market needs and trends.
  • Identify and develop strategies which add value to the industry.
  • Ensure the financial integrity of the operation to meet shareholder objectives.
  • Ensure that the business is a valued and responsible corporate citizen and meets Community, Government and Customer expectations
  • Provide stewardship to employees to foster and encourage their development.
  • Ensure that the business is an injury- free workplace for its employees and visitors.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven performance record with TMHA and ability to demonstrate a good understanding of TMHA branch operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience at senior management position
  • Leading an operational team and conflict management
  • Management or Supervisory experience in a Technical, Service , Sales or Rental position
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hands on approach and willing to multitask in the busy T2 branch environment
  • Ability to organise, lead and motivate staff
  • Experience in direct customer service with good organisational and follow up skills
  • Strong Communicational / Interpersonal skills
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Time Management skills
