Position Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Facilities and Maintenance Manager to join our North QLD Queensland team.

Position Purpose:
To lead and manage at a Cluster or Regional level the effective delivery of facilities and maintenance services across Blue Care and UnitingCare Community (UCC) sites, ensuring the statutory compliance and efficient delivery of services across the assigned property portfolio, and contributing to a safe and healthy environment for Blue Care/UCC residents, clients and staff and visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
  • Relevant qualifications in a facilities, building or construction industry discipline;
  • Significant experience in the delivery of facilities or maintenance management services to an extensive portfolio of properties, preferably through a Program Management approach;
  • Experience in contract administration and/or management of external service providers;
  • Current Driver’s Licence;
  • Strong customer focus; and
  • All Blue Care staff must satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or Blue Care policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the delivery of maintenance to all buildings, plant and equipment in designated Clusters, including the planning and programming of these works in an effective and efficient manner;
  • Manage and program the delivery of the Annual Maintenance Planning to ensure sites are fully compliant with legislation, policy standards and accreditation criteria;
  • Responsible for the development of asset service plans, building condition reports and lifecycle replacement plans for the plant and equipment within area of responsibility, including the development of forward budget estimates and work programmes;
  • Support the collation and maintain the accuracy and currency of maintenance and asset registers, and ensure the ongoing accuracy and currency of central database records (CMMS, Drawing Register, Asset Register, etc);
  • Manage the estimating, scoping, documentation, programming and delivery of project based works including replacement, upgrade, refurbishment, and minor building works;
  • Establish systems and procedures to ensure the effective and timely response to unplanned maintenance or facilities services requirements;

Recently, Queensland Health advised that employees working in a residential aged care facility are no longer required to have an influenza vaccination. Whilst the influenza vaccination is currently not a requirement, it is highly likely the vaccination will be a seasonal requirement moving into future years. We strongly encourage all employees across Aged Care and Community Services to obtain the seasonal influenza vaccination to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the vulnerable people in our care as well as their own.


Selection Criteria
Desirable: Do you hold a current Class "C" Australian Drivers Licence?
Desirable: Do you have beginner to intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook?
Desirable: Have you used any accounting or property management software? If so, please specify.
Essential: Do you have experience in the management of trade qualified staff and/or external service providers?
