We are seeking a full time Primary Years Teacher to join our Springfield School team, teaching our Year 3 students. This is a contract position commencing in Semester 2 for the remainder of 2021.

About you:

  • You have demonstrated excellence in teaching within the Primary years with a high degree of teaching competence. While not essential, it would be advantageous to have experience teaching Year 3.
  • You have experience in or awareness of contemporary and enquiry based learning frameworks
  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills and are able to communicate sensitively and confidentially with parents, students and other staff
  • You are able to build and maintain quality relationships in all aspects of your work
  • You are able to select and use appropriately, a wide range of teaching strategies to suit the needs of a diverse range of students.
  • You are a highly organised and take pride in the planning and preparation of your classes
  • You have a demonstrated understanding of current issues in education and can implement strategies to ensure optimal learning outcomes
  • You embrace opportunities to reflect upon your professional practice and further develop your own skills and knowledge across a variety of different areas
  • You enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders and demonstrate effective communication and a solutions-oriented approach within this environment
  • You identify with St Peter’s professional behaviours of trust, accountability, unconditional positive regard and open communication and feedback and apply these in all that you do
