Our client is looking for a Manager to oversee the operations of their Heavy Lift branch that is based in Brisbane. The company is a privately owned business that operates nationally throughout Queensland and New South Wales providing mobile crane hire, with a massive fleets of cranes from spider cranes, indoor cranes to crawler cranes and all-terrain cranes.

The Role

As the Project and Heavy Lift Manager, you will be logistically planning and scheduling the long-term hire or project specific hire of the company’s fleets. Other main duties will include but not limited to, managing the day-to-day operation of the business unit, be responsible for the divisions safety, tendering and negotiating of new works, complete business unit reporting, managing profit and loss, and the financial & administration performance of the Heavy Lifting unit.

About you

  • 6+ years of experience, ideally in a structures based environment building bridges or similar
  • Strong communication skill with potential leadership qualities with developed people & softer skills.
  • Some industry experience & working knowledge around cranes, rigging and Heavy Lifts.
  • Must have extensive commitment and understanding of all matters relating to health and safety.
  • Have general experience around Tendering of works, Contracts, Resource planning, Client relationship management.
  • Excellent organisation and management skill to build strong business relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Knowledge in commercial reporting aspect is an advantage.
