Labourer Patch Truck - Childers

About the role:

The focus of this position is to be part of a multi-disciplined team capable of performing a wide range of heavy vehicle duties within the Childers region.


Key Responsibilities:


  • The position involves manual labouring for maintenance and construction works, including but not limited to the following:
  • Maintaining a safe working environment
  • Manual handling
  • Working with mobile plant
  • Working with underground utilities
  • Working at Heights and Confined Spaces
  • Working on Bridges, Major Culverts and Roads
  • Placing and finishing concrete
  • Sprayed bituminous and asphalt work
  • Setting up simple formwork and steel fixing
  • Installation of road and bridge furniture

Position Requirements:


Mandatory:

  • Unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Ability to complete 'Working at Heights Certificate'
  • Possession of a Construction Industry General Safety Induction Card.
  • Ability to complete "Working in Proximity to Traffic" course prior to commencement.
  • Demonstrated physical fitness and capability to undertake manual labouring work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment to ensure that outcomes are achieved.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with a variety of internal and external parties.
  • Desired:
  • Possession of a current Class 'MR' or 'HR' Drivers Licence.
  • Possession of a Traffic Controller Accreditation with experience undertaking traffic control and signage set-out on public roads.
